Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 10/27/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Echocardiography Technician performs diagnostic cardiac imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to assess heart structure and function. The role involves working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results for patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms on patients of all ages. Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and Doppler studies. Measure, record, and analyze cardiac data, including heart chambers, valves, and blood flow. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting observations and results. Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams to review and discuss findings. Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols. Maintain and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment as needed. Qualifications: Required certifications: CCI, AE, or RDCS. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. CPR/BLS certification. Schedule: 5-day, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday); no weekends. Must work at least 2 of the 3 winter holidays. Shift and schedule are subject to change.
