Job Description

What to Expect Program Managers within the Autopilot Hardware team work side by side with cross-functional teams to support the development of our vehicle hardware. Teams include design (electrical, mechanical & firmware), supply chain and manufacturing, to name a few. They will lead complex programs with limited up front guidance. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in engineering design and experience with program management. Must be a self-starter and able to figure out how to do things. What You'll Do Ensure program goals, scope, and requirements are clearly defined by stakeholders, documented, and approved by stakeholders Create program roadmaps and detailed timeline outlining milestones, critical paths, and deliverables Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely program delivery through effective collaboration Ensure team efforts align with project goals and scope, increasing personnel potential by eliminating low-value or non-contributory tasks Manage scope and schedule changes to minimize impact on overall objectives Manage and track engineering sample demand and supply, coordinating with the supply chain and others to meet engineering needs Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are understood and managed Monitor program progress and provide regular updates on status, including key performance metrics, challenges, and escalations Track and manage potential risks with mitigation and contingency plans to minimize program impact What You'll Bring Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience 5+ years experience in product development, ideally with product shipping experience in medium-to-high volume industry Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
