Overview Senior Sales Engineer role focusing on understanding customer requirements, delivering demonstrations of Primer's technology, and overcoming technical obstacles during the sales process. Based in the Washington, DC metro area due to on-site engagements with key clients. Prior experience supporting the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, or other DoD agencies is strongly preferred. Partner with the sales team and engage with executives at potential customer organizations to understand challenges and identify opportunities for Primer/'s NLP/NLG technologies to support their needs. Develop value-based demonstrations, support and sometimes build Proof of Concepts, and help win new business. Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact Align technical solutions with DoD requirements, including mission-critical systems or secure communications platforms. Travel to client or federal sites as required to support pre-sales activities, technical demonstrations, and on-site engagements. Support responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), crafting technical solutions and aligning product capabilities with client needs, contributing to proposal strategy. Work with sales executives to map customer requirements to current and future offerings and help close deals. Continuously build expertise in NLP/NLG technologies and understand potential competitors, partners, and vendors to position Primer effectively. Partner with product management and engineering to identify and prioritize feature development based on customer feedback. Produce technical content in support of public sector business development and marketing. Relevant Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales or customer-facing environment. Python experience Linux proficiency Hands-on experience with a cloud services provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong communication skills and ability to represent Primer to customers Knowledge of distributed systems, ETL and ETL workflows Track record of consistently exceeding goals and quota Bonus Points Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with machine learning techniques Experience with NLP Full-stack development skills (including front-end) Understanding of public sector procurement processes Compensation and Benefits The annual cash compensation range for this position is US$180,000 to US$220,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
