Our client, GDH, is seeking the following. Apply via Dice today! Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Unified Computing System (UCS) Consultant to join their team. This role involves installing, configuring, and integrating UCS solutions into existing network infrastructures and supporting cross-site communications. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in virtualization environments, particularly VMware, and have a strong background in disaster recovery operations. This full-time position is based in Martinez, CA, and requires on-site presence. Responsibilities: Install and configure Cisco UCS servers, fabric interconnects, and related hardware to meet client specifications. Ensure seamless integration of UCS systems with existing network infrastructures and support cross-site communication needs. Deploy VMware ESXi on Cisco UCS servers and set up VMware vCenter to manage the disaster recovery environment. Configure virtual networks, resource pools, and storage connections to align with the primary site configurations. Implement and manage Pure Storage systems, connecting them effectively to the virtualization environment. Install and configure enterprise-level backup solutions to support robust recovery operations. Facilitate data replication from the primary site and conduct tests on backup and restoration capabilities to ensure system reliability and data integrity. Qualifications: Proven experience with disaster recovery (DR) solutions and data center builds. Strong technical expertise in Cisco UCS infrastructure and VMware virtualization technologies. Ability to obtain LiveScan clearance as required by California state regulations. Commitment to full-time, on-site work in Martinez, CA. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to follow complex technical instructions and diagrams. Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on system reliability and security. Previous experience setting up and managing Pure Storage systems is highly desirable. Relevant certifications in Cisco and VMware technologies preferred.
