HR Director

Position: Human Resources Director Location: Benton Harbor, MI (100% onsite) About the Opportunity for a Human Resources Director: Join a respected organization in a senior leadership role overseeing all aspects of HR operations. Lead strategic HR initiatives with a strong focus on benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategies with company goals and foster a positive workplace culture. Overview of the Human Resources Director role: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, leave administration, and wellness initiatives. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ACA, etc.). Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Provide leadership in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and training. Partner with senior leadership to support organizational development, succession planning, and workforce strategy. Preferred Qualifications for the Human Resources Director role: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification a plus). 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership in benefits administration and compliance. Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits platforms; experience with Employee Navigator is a plus . Proven ability to develop HR strategy, lead teams, and partner effectively with executives. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
