Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Copyright Coordinator with a major corporation in Burbank, CA. On-site Mon - Thurs, Remote on Fridays. Duration : 2 month(s) Pay Rate: $28 -$30/hr DOE Must Haves : Excellent Comm Skills, Team Player, Ask Questions, Be Proactive, Collaborative, 2+ Years Music Publishing Experience, Excellent Communication Skills, Detail Oriented, Proactive and Resourceful and have a Positive Attitude Description : The Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for The Company, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Records and Hollywood Records), Music Publishing, and Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products. Seeking a Copyright Coordinator to be part of DMG's Copyright Administration team. This role will administer company-owned and controlled music publishing catalogs and support the daily operations of the DMG Copyright Administration department. Complete day-to-day publishing administration responsibilities under the direction of the Senior Manager, including the following: • Perform general song catalog administration and maintenance tasks. • Work collaboratively with Business Affairs, Accounting, Finance and A&R teams to obtain appropriate rights agreements and related documentation. • Research and analyze agreements and documentation to ensure accurate and prompt set-up and administration of works in DMG publishing royalty system. • Provide administrative support as necessary. • Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required. Basic Qualifications: • 1-2 years of music publishing experience • Basic knowledge of music publishing administration • Familiarity with copyright protocol, performing/mechanical rights, intellectual property rights, and basic royalty accounting procedures • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible • Effective communicator, both verbal and written • Strong work ethic • Detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with film and television music cue sheets
