Order and Delivery Management Specialist Location: Schaumburg, IL Department: Operations Reports To: Department Manager Company: Confidential Position Summary At CFS, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. The Order and Delivery Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and transparent order fulfillment process. This position is responsible for maintaining clear communication with customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any necessary amendments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities of the Order Management Specialist: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the order lifecycle, providing timely updates on delivery status and changes. Monitor order progress from confirmation through delivery, identifying and resolving delays or issues proactively. Process and manage order amendments with accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate internal escalations to ensure rapid resolution of unexpected challenges. Oversee daily tracking of order confirmations and deliveries. Maintain and update customer portals with accurate order and delivery information. Identify and recommend opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements. Ensure accurate documentation of orders, deliveries, and customer communications. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and company goals. Required Skills & Abilities for the Order Management Specialist role: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on relationship-building. Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving capabilities. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks. Minimum Requirements for the Order Management Specialist role: High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred. Minimum of 3 years in account management, customer service, or order fulfillment. Experience in order management and delivery coordination is essential. Familiarity with manufacturing supply chains and logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, CRM platforms, and reporting tools. Experience with AS400, PowerBI, and Salesforce is a plus. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. This role is based in a professional office setting.
