Our hospital offers specialized services including women's care, inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. We support various specialties such as general surgery, colorectal care, gynecology, orthopedics, spine care, vascular services, robotic surgery, urology, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, gastroenterology, interventional radiology, infusion and transfusion services, and interventional cardiology. The peri-anesthesia department consists of pre-operative care, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) phase I and II recovery. Our nurses are cross-trained to work in all three areas and float to each area within the department. This model of nursing care provides a holistic approach to the perioperative experience, promoting productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and provision of quality nursing care to an assigned group of patients for a defined period. Meets expectations of applicable competencies: leadership, collaboration, and quality care. Develops comprehensive nursing care plans addressing significant needs and problems identified through assessment. Implements patient care as planned in the nursing care plan and interdisciplinary care plan. Evaluates patient response to interventions and attainment of goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. Six months to one year of experience as a licensed RN or holder of an active GN permit. Current ACLS certification required. Current PALS or ENPC certification required.
