Float Pool Nurses Make it Possible Staff Nurse - RN - Critical Care Float - Full time - Nights At New York-Presbyterian, nurses bring compassion, talent and an unwavering commitment to patient care. As a float pool nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple world-renowned specialties to deliver hope and healing to patients from around the world in some of our most high acuity areas. This role supports the NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center Critical Care inpatient units including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Step-Down Units and more. Nurses in this dynamic role support the state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and by playing a critical role in maternal emergency response. You'll have the freedom to explore new specialties and experiences in your nursing career and gain exposure to a broad range of challenges on our highly specialized units. This position offers experience, education, float pool and night shift differential on top of your base pay. Preferred Criteria Minimum two years' experience as a Critical Care RN, SDU experience and Cardiac Surgical experience Experience with caring for Post-Cesarean Section patients/ Obstetrical emergencies Required Criteria Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Current NYS RN licensure BCLS and ACLS certification Proven experience to work autonomously in high pressure situations Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
