Legend Senior Living operates nearly 70 residences across the United States offering a variety of care/residential options for seniors. With the growth of the company comes opportunity to add new skills and talents to the organization. We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of the company including reporting, budgeting, planning, and other accounting and financial matters. This position is located in our offices in Wichita, Kansas and is not open to remote work.Duties/Responsibilities:Coordinates the company's accounting, reporting planning and budgeting activitiesProvides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiationsCoordinates the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgetsEnsures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or other prescribed financial reporting standardsReviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies opportunities and improvements that can be madeCoordinates with management regarding short- and long-term accounting objectives and policiesAdvises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policiesCollaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual and periodic auditsMaintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standardsImprove processes and document accounting department proceduresProvide support for internal audit with publicly traded capital partnerPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent and highly accurate math and accounting skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and specialized accounting software used by the organizationEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; Master's degree preferredFive years or more of related experience requiredAudit experience with public companiesCPA designationTo learn more about pay and benefits, apply today!Legend Senior Living is a drug free workplace and drug screening will be conducted at the company's discretion.
