We're hiring a Registered Nurse to take on a dual leadership role in Infection Prevention and Nurse Education"”a position critical to ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous learning in our facility.What You'll Do:You'll be at the forefront of our infection control initiatives and staff development efforts. This role blends clinical leadership with education and regulatory compliance to elevate care outcomes across the board.Key Responsibilities:Infection PreventionDevelop and update infection control policies and procedures to meet CMS, CDC, and state guidelines.Conduct facility-wide infection surveillance: monitor, track, and trend infections.Lead outbreak investigations and root cause analyses to guide response strategies.Oversee antibiotic stewardship programs, tracking antibiotic usage and ensuring proper protocols.Notify local Health Department of reportable diseases as required.Guide appropriate isolation precautions and recommend necessary action plans.Collaborate with other facilities and community partners to prevent cross-contamination.Staff Education & TrainingPrepare and deliver engaging training sessions on infection control, PPE usage, hand hygiene, and more.Assess staff competency and provide ongoing education based on observed performance or updated regulations.Support vaccination programs, including Influenza and Hepatitis B tracking for staff.Promote staff participation in infection prevention efforts through education and feedback.Quality & ComplianceParticipate in the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee, sharing infection control data and recommendations.Maintain thorough documentation in residents' clinical records and facility logs.Stay current with emerging best practices and regulatory changes in infection control.Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold residents' rights during all interactions.Customer Service & Team CultureBuild strong relationships with residents, families, team members, and healthcare partners.Promote a professional, respectful, and inclusive culture.Participate in interdisciplinary teams and support facility-wide goals.What You'll Need:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in FloridaCMS-approved Infection Preventionist training (16-20 hours) or CBIC certificationValid CPR certificationKnowledge of infection control in skilled nursing or long-term careStrong interpersonal and teaching skillsProficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of standard computer systemsWhy Choose Ayers?Competitive pay + daily pay optionsHealth, dental, and vision benefitsTuition assistance & continuing education supportWarm, supportive leadership and team atmosphereMeaningful work in a community-focused facilityBe the leader who helps us stay healthy, compliant, and continually improving.Apply today to join the team at Ayers Health & Rehab in Trenton, FL.#INDAH123
