Do you have a passion for product testing and all things automotive? We're hiring a Product Field Testing Technician?for our company's headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri. If you possess:Associate or equivalent degree is Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology preferred1-3 years' work experience in automotive repair or automotive service equipment fieldHunter could be a great fit for you! Hunter was named a 2023 finalist for Best Places to Work award by St. Louis Business Journal.This role will conduct Beta testing of Hunter Engineering Company software, hardware, and other equipment with our industry partners.As a Product Field Testing Technician:What you will do:Field Site Visits - Deployment & ExpansionTier 1 -Team site visits for product stakeholders to demonstrate customer concerns and field complaints during product testing cycle from Alpha, Beta, and ReleaseTier 2 - Hunter Team requested visits including multiple teams focusing on new installs, product deployment, and firsthand exposure to day-to-day shop workflow and operationsNew Product Development - Early Involvement & Voice of the CustomerPrimary team support for new product development (NPD) process from project kickoff to steady state review after releasedDefining customer needs and site requirements during early development before deploymentEngineering Deviations - Engineering Managed & TrackedMonitor performance of EDs related to fitment, durability, ease of installation, an over rating compared to the standard part used in the MOS (improvement from our current process)Implementing ED process within our Engineering/Beta Request ApplicationField Support - Service Lab & MarketingAnalyze field reported problems and provide recommended final solutionsDevelop coursework and initiate Lunch & Learns with various teams to review new product operations from installation to overall functionalityAdditional Qualifications Include:Associate or equivalent degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology preferred1-3 years' work experience in automotive repair or automotive service equipment fieldUnderstanding of automotive service equipment as it relates to equipment manufactured by Hunter Engineering CompanyAbility to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and present logical conclusions based on customer experiences.Must have Microsoft tools and computer operating systems.Working knowledge of undercar service issues is a plusGreat verbal and written communication skillsDetailed orientedWork closely with cross-disciplinary teams to report and solve problemsAbility to use hand tools and power tools.Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical equipment issues.Some Benefits and Perks Include:Industry Leading HealthcareIndustry Leading Profit-Sharing Plan w/ Safe Harbor ContributionGenerous Paid Time AwayTuition Reimbursement ProgramParental LeaveOur people come first as we aim for excellence.
