The *Development Coordinator* advances the growth and long-term sustainability of KairosPDX by supporting a range of fundraising, donor engagement, and public outreach efforts. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of grants and gifts, maintains data integrity through detailed entry and reporting, and oversees donor acknowledgments to foster strong relationships. In addition to managing backend fundraising operations, the *Development Coordinator* actively contributes to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor communication strategies. (Depending on Experience)*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*_*CRM & Database Management*_* Lead the migration and maintenance of donor data into the Little Green Light (LGL) CRM.* Ensure accurate gift entry, reconciliation across platforms (e.g., checks, PayPal, Classy), and timely donor acknowledgments.* Collaborate with the bookkeeper to prepare monthly donation and reconciliation reports.* Maintain clean, segmented donor records and generate reports for fundraising and grant tracking._*Fundraising & Event Support*_* Provide logistical and administrative support for 3-5 annual fundraising events, including the "Spread the Love" gala.* Manage RSVPs, payment processing, registration, and collateral creation.* Coordinate merchandise (KairosPDX swag) inventory, ordering, distribution, and event tabling.* Attend and support staff and family engagement events as needed._*Administrative & Marketing Support*_* Support the Development Manager with meeting coordination, agenda prep, note-taking, and donor correspondence.* Manage contract tracking, invoice preparation, and purchase approvals as the Development Team Purchasing Coordinator.* Develop visual and digital marketing materials using Canva, Mailchimp, and other tools for newsletters, campaigns, brochures, and social media.* Oversee segmented mailing lists and support communication strategy execution._*Grants & Reporting*_* Coordinate data entry, tracking, and reporting for new grants.* Assist in compiling and preparing grant materials and related fundraising analyses.*QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's degree or 3+ years equivalent professional experience.* One-year relevant experience working with children from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds.* Two years of fundraising/development experience (paid or unpaid) or related experience.* Experience with CRM/onor Databases, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Marketing Tools (e.g. Canva).* Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including families, students, staff, corporate partners, donors, volunteers, and vendors.* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with strong planning and implementation capabilities.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of professional contexts.*PREFERRED** Experience working with children ages 5 to 11.* Experience working with diverse populations, specifically people of color.* Experience with database and financial reconciliation knowledge.*ABOUT KAIROSPDX:*KairosPDX is a non-profit organization focused on delivering excellent, equitable education to underservedchildren, their families and their communities.
