General Summary of PositionWe are actively recruiting for an experienced Clinical Manager Pharmacy Services to help lead our Critical Care team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.The clinical manager drives the highest level of quality and clinical competency and creates a collaborative environment, while optimizing outcomes through standardization and growth of clinical pharmacy practice. Manages the clinical pharmacy services. We provide a supportive and inclusive work environment, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, generous PTO, tuition assistance, retirement plans, and many other benefits focused on your wellbeing.Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move!Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in the development of and monitors quality of clinical information and pharmacy interventions formulated by clinical and patient care pharmacists.Develops guidance for, and delivers as appropriate, education programs via in-services, lectures, newsletters, or rounds to various healthcare professionals and patients.Interviews and assists in selection of candidates for clinical positions in accordance with personnel policies and departmental requirements.Performs ongoing assessment, development, and implementation of clinical programs for MedStar.Supervises clinical pharmacists, and oversees activities of patient care pharmacists in performing duties associated with clinical programs.Under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy Services, participates in the development of departmental budgets and has the authority to implement pharmacy resource utilization, expense or revenue controls.Under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy Services, performs the ongoing review, monitoring and the optimization of the value based outcome metrics for safety, quality, service, productivity and fiscal objectives. Has the authority to co-sign or approve pharmaceutical purchase orders, invoices and payroll submittals.Minimum QualificationsEducationPharm.D. (2 years post-graduate Pharm.D. or equivalent) preferredExperience3-4 years related experience performed as a clinical pharmacist in a similar environment required3-4 years BCPS residency; 3 years management experience preferredLicenses and CertificationsPharmacist Licensure in the District of ColumbiaKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesVerbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills preferredThis position has a hiring range of $139,276 - $278,262
