Job Description

Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high quality medical care to a variety of animal patients, including diagnostics, treatment, surgery, and preventive care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to animal welfare.Key Responsibilities:Provide medical, surgical, and dental care to a wide variety of companion animalsPerform thorough physical examinations and diagnosticsDiagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditionsConduct surgeries, including spaying, neutering, and soft tissue or orthopedic proceduresAdminister vaccinations and prescribe medicationsProvide guidance on nutrition, behavior, preventive care, and general wellnessCommunicate treatment plans and options clearly to pet ownersMaintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with California regulationsCollaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient and compassionate patient careParticipate in continued education and stay current with advancements in veterinary medicineComply with all state and federal laws and regulations, including California Veterinary Medical Board and DEA guidelinesParticipate in team meetings, training, and hospital development initiativesMaintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institutionValid veterinary license in the practicing state CADEA license requiredStrong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skillsExperience in general practice, surgery, or emergency medicine preferredStrong diagnostic and decision-making skillsCompassionate, professional demeanor and ability to work in a team-oriented environmentProfessional Liability Insurance (employer will be reimbursed and/or prorated)Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as required by the practice schedulePreferred Skills:1-3 years of experience in small animal practice (new grads welcome to apply)Experience with digital radiography, in-house labs, dental radiography, and EMR systemsBilingual (Spanish or other language) is a plusFamiliarity with digital imaging, ultrasound, and lab diagnosticsExperience with practice management softwareBackground in team leadership and site management, including oversight of staff and workflows, is desirable.Benefits:Competitive salary + production (ProSal model)Health, dental, and vision insurance covered for employee silver plan.401(k) with employer matchingCE allowance and paid CE daysPaid time off (PTO) and holidaysLicense and membership reimbursement (CA Vet License, DEA, AVMA, PLIT)Employee pet care discountsSupportive and collaborative work culturePay: It depends on experience, and it may be flexible.Bonus: 22% production-based incentiveIf you're interested, please reply to this advertisement or directly email your resume to me at or by calling/texting (949) 295-5951.I strive to reply within 48 hours.
