This is done in order to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flow and production lines running at maximum. Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventative/ Predictive Maintenance, etc.).Essential Functions:Responsible for assisting with the management of maintenance systems associated with high performing manufacturing organizations (Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, etc.)Manage the maintenance staff through delegation, policy and procedure administration, assignment of work responsibilities, planning, organizing, directing and follow-up of the work assignment. Promote plant safety performance through administration, enforcement of company and plant policy/procedure and training consistent with the objectives of Iowa Premium and in compliance with Federal and State agenciesAccountable for providing short and medium term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc. Ensure the smooth daily operation of the plant with minimal repetitive issuesAssist the Plant Maintenance Manager in developing and managing an effective Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program using E-Maint PM Module. Extract and analyze program data to ensure a constant state of continuous improvementMaintains compliance with Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of the maintenance function (supplier performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, etc.)Manages work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning of team members engaged in manufacturing engineering activitiesKnowledge of environmental regulations and wastewater operations ensure compliance with all operational permitsProvides technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process problems. Serves as a resource for cause/effect analyses, investigations, and corrective action planningSupport department efforts to provide technical training and guidance to management and team membersPerforms other duties as assignedThis is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.Qualifications:Qualified candidates for Maintenance Superintendent position should possess the following:Minimum five years management experience in food plant maintenance. Advanced work in electrical, hydraulics and PLC's preferredExcellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programsMust have refrigeration and boiler system knowledgeMust be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CAD and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skillsWorking knowledge of E-Maint CMMS systemApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.Company Overview:Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company, is dedicated to being the premier supplier of premium family farm-raised corn-fed Black Angus beef.
