Apply now and be a part of our success story.We provide excellent benefits including:Medical, Vision, and Dental plans through BCBS28 days of Paid Time OffExcellent mileage reimbursement rate403b Retirement plan with matchingFocused programs honoring Veteran patientsAssistance with achieving Certified Hospice & Palliative Nurse (CHPN)Best Orientation and Onboarding program you've experiencedSeasoned Hospice leaders guiding your career growthEssential Functions• Overseeing the reimbursement process for Palliative services.o Coordination of reimbursement for palliative services from eligibility verification and authorization through payment of claims.o Verifies eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, and Commercial payors.o Coordinates with Eligibility and Authorization Coordinators regarding eligibility and/or authorization rejections/denials.o Generates HCFA 1500 claims for all payors and submits claims through clearinghouse, insurance provider's portal, or via mail.o Follow-up on denied/rejected claims through EMR and clearinghouse and/or insurance portal.o Submit appeals with appropriate supporting documentation.o Reviews Palliative Aging Report regularly and follows up on outstanding invoices.o Reviews processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.o Stays abreast of current publications to identify issues that could affect changes in billing requirements & claims filing processes.o Provides back-up coverage for the Billing Specialist.• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all customers.o Responds to customer concerns and facilitates prompt resolution of issues.o Ensures that problems and questions are effectively addressed, researched, and resolved. Receives and responds to emails/voicemails as necessary.o Processes credit card payments received via phone.• May perform other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications• Associate's degree in business administration or healthcare administration required or the equivalent combination of education, technicalcertifications, training, and work experience.• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant billing experience required.
