As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' lives and promoting their independence.We are very proud to be ranked #2 in best places to work in Massachusetts and #51 in best places to work in the United States!Why Join Pathways?Work in a supportive team environment and amazing corporate culture.Impact patients' lives directly by providing in-home care.Opportunities for continued growth and professional development.Our Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) match, HMO & PPO Plans, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Flexible Spending Account.Short-Term Disability 100% Employer-fundedThree weeks of PTO during first two years, increase to four weeks after two years of being benefits eligible.Separate sick time bank.Free Gym Access (Westwood Office Location).Free Snack Bar!Position Details:Main Office location: Westwood, MAService Area: Somerville, Cambridge and Surrounding AreasJob Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday - FridayResponsibilities:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including functional status, home environment, and equipment needs.Evaluate work capacity and provide vocational training referrals when necessary.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable goals.Train patients in daily activities, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment use.Maintain accurate records and report patient condition changes promptly.Educate families and caregivers on treatment plans.Supervise occupational therapy assistants and home health aides.Participate in training, meetings, and case reviews.Refer patients to additional services as needed and coordinate discharge planning.Qualifications:Hold a degree from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Additionally, be registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.A minimum of two years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational abilities to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.Maintain a current BLS CPR certification.Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable, insured vehicle.Pathways Healthcare is committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and fostering a positive work environment for our team members.
