Position Title: Respiratory Therapist (RT)Location: Upland Hills Health - Platteville Durable Medical Equipment (DME) StoreRole & Department: Staff RT in the DME/Home Oxygen Service DepartmentHours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Role Responsibilities:Will work under the supervision of DME Manager and has the responsibility to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to carry respiratory and sleep therapy patients through the continuum of care for the best possible outcomesThe DME Respiratory Therapist works in a collaborative effort with hospitals, hospital respiratory therapists, case management and the nursing care team as a resource to provide appropriate respiratory homecare durable medical equipment and suppliesThe DME Respiratory Therapist takes an active role in facilitating communication of patient needs/orders for the DME specialists to avoid unnecessary delays in careDemonstrates desire to promote UHH LOC philosophy and seeks ways to facilitate helping more patients with their transitions of careThe DME Respiratory Therapist works with the DME Manager to facilitate timely billing for DME supplies and services. The position is responsible for the interpretation of Federal and state regulations, policies and procedures which impact DME servicesQualifications:Candidates must have a minimum of an Associates Degree from accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
