*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients who require close monitoring and specialized treatment. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a progressive care setting. The Progressive Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.*Responsibilities** Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall health status, identifying any changes that may require intervention.* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing and implementing individualized care plans.* Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.* Assist with discharge planning, ensuring that patients have the necessary resources and support for a smooth transition from hospital to home or other care settings.* Manage tube feeding for patients requiring nutritional support, ensuring proper administration and monitoring for complications.* Conduct assessments related to durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients transitioning out of the facility.* Document all patient interactions accurately in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery within the progressive care unit.*Requirements** Current nursing license in good standing; BSN preferred.* Previous experience in critical care transport or progressive care nursing is highly desirable.* Strong knowledge of vital signs assessment and management techniques.* Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center protocols is an advantage.* Experience in assisted living or primary care settings is a plus.* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.* Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care while adhering to ethical standards of practice.#IND3Job Types: Full-time, Travel nursing, Contract, Per diemPay: $2,280.00 - $2,310.00 per weekBenefits:* Referral programMedical Specialty:* TelemetryPhysical Setting:* PCUWork Location: In person
