The Speech Pathologist is able to provide coverage in their primary setting, but also as needed throughout the hospital/rehab/outpatient settings with minimal-moderate amount of support and training from mentors, peers or the manager. The Speech Pathologist also assumes basic leadership roles within the department, demonstrates flexibility, exercises good judgment, problem solving and works collaboratively with colleagues.The Speech Pathologist II job participates in department projects or events in an efficient and productive manner. This role not only attends educational activities, but also provides in-service education to other staff. At Level II, the Speech Pathologist begins developing the skills to provide student supervision with mentorship of an experienced student supervisor.
