Part-time, 72 hours/pay periodMonday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm with Wednesdays offMankato Clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant or LPN who will care for patients with compassion, empathy and respect to ensure our clinics are a welcoming and healing place. MAs and LPNs assist our physicians and providers with patient visits, greeting, rooming and educating patients, setting up for exams and procedures, taking vital signs, and documenting symptoms and histories while in a team based approach. Join a great team of providers and staff dedicated to caring for people.Key Job Duties:Assist providers in a team based approach by providing patient focused care to the entire providers practice.Assist providers and departments by maintaining an efficient daily operation, following a daily schedule, managing phones and communicating updates as need.Perform core nursing functions as needed for the department.Document patient data in Electronic Health Record system while in room with provider and gather histories. All data should be accurate, objective, timely and relevant to the patient’s care.Administer medications and/or immunizations in correct dosages as ordered using 8 Rights of Medication Administration. Distribute appropriate educational materials. Observe patients for reactions, chart, and charge appropriately.Demonstrate effective oral, keyboarding, and written communication skills.Perform other task as assignedPerform tasks at the top of skill set using critical thinking.Required:Current LPN license by applicable state requirements, ORa degree or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; Or a certification from an accredited educational institutionCurrent CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment;Ability to utilize computer for daily work;Patient-centered, accountability, teamwork, integrity, excellence.Preferred:Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.Minimum of two years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant.Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screening, health assessment, and background check.Benefits & Compensation:Base Pay Range: Medical Assistant $19.68 -$29.30 based on certification/registrationLPN $21.80-$31.60Initial pay based on relevant work experience.Mankato Clinic is proud to offer our employees work/life balance.All employees scheduled 60-80 hours per pay period are eligible for full benefits.Health Insurance - all care received at the Mankato Clinic for employees and family members on the plan is covered at 100% after a $40 copay.Dental InsurancePaid Time Off as well as Salary Continuation TimePaid HolidaysLife Insurance/AD&DGenerous 401(k)/Profit Sharing PlanEducation Assistance and Scholarship opportunitiesEmployee Success Sharing Bonus ProgramCredit towards Mankato Clinic ApparelVolunteer Program that supports the non-profits that matter to you!Wellness ProgramEmployee Appreciation EventsVisit to view all benefits.About UsPatients are at the heart of all we do at the Mankato Clinic.
