Your future starts here.***$10,000 signing bonus for new hires. ***PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:As a valued member of CPKC's Engineering team, the Supervisor Track Inspection plays an essential role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and integrity of the track infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to support seamless and efficient train operations. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, effective leadership, and a proactive approach to maintaining infrastructure performance, addressing potential risks, and contributing to the overall success of CPKC's rail network.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Deliver regulatory compliance to CPKC safety practices, policies, and procedures, ensuring unionized employees operate in a safe and compliant manner while fostering a culture of workplace safetyConduct track inspections at required intervals, compile accurate records, and address exceptions through timely corrective actions, mitigating safety risks and ensuring operational reliabilityMaintain proper records of the inspections; notes and tracks corrective actions for exceptionsDirect maintenance activities aligned with selective renewal plans for various track components, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of track infrastructureSet work priorities and objectives daily and make recommendations to the RoadmasterProvide on-call support and emergency response on a rotating cycle to support 24/7 operationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general equivalencyValid driver’s licenseOver 2 years of hands-on experience working in basic and/or principal track maintenance, particularly in main terminal areasMinimum of 1 year of experience operating various track machines, with a consistent track record of maximizing productivity and ensuring operational safetyDemonstrates capability to understand and apply relevant track standards and practice circularsDemonstrates the ability to work safely; has a clean safety/performance recordWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:Flexible and competitive benefits packageCompetitive company pension and/or retirement plansEmployee share purchase planPerformance incentive planAnnual fitness subsidyPart-time studies programPRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:Medical and Drug TestingThis is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required.
