Call us at 812-238-7827 or email us at Lobby Pharmacist Essential Job Duties:Provide drug information to patients and medical staff, utilizing Internet search engines and Lexicomp.Assist in training staff to improve drug information skills and perform drug dosing consultations.Serve on various committees such as P & T, Stroke, Infection Control, and Medication Safety.Develop and coordinate staff development programs for pharmacy staff, providing educational programs to medical and nursing staff.Deliver patient-oriented education and nursing in-services, maintaining high visibility to staff and residents.Assist in drug formulary management and participate in performance improvement activities.Adhere to health system policies, state, and national pharmacy law, performing special projects as requested.Exhibit punctuality, attendance, and an understanding of patients' age-specific needs.Verify and review medication orders for appropriateness, perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, and manage pharmacy technicians.Co-manage chronic disease states, conduct patient education, and provide direct patient care in anticoagulation management.Education, Training & Experience:Advanced Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.)Board Certification preferred in the first year of eligibilityOne to two years experience in ASHP accredited residency or equivalent experience preferredLicensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana.Must take licensure examination at the earliest convenience with licensure received within 75 days following first day of employment in position.Job duties of a graduate pharmacist may be performed under the supervision of a pharmacist.
