Learn more about Blythedale on our website here.Overview:We are seeking a Certified Child Life Specialist for our Child/Adolescent & Brain Injury Unit. The ideal candidate is compassionate and skilled at assessing, planning, and implementing interventions to promote effective coping and healing for our medically complex population. As a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS), you'll play a crucial role in our Therapeutic & Developmental Support Services team, ensuring quality family-centered care alongside our clinical multidisciplinary team.Responsibilities:Assesses, plans and implements interventions to promote effective coping and healthy processing of treatment course for both patient and family unit.Fosters collaboration through in-house inter-disciplinary work. Manages individual caseload of primary patients and plans and oversees Child Life groups.Precepts for Internship program and provide volunteer supervision. Contributes to program development and hospital wide initiatives.Participates in educational initiatives, highlighting content to reflect most significant hospital needs.Facilitate special events/visitors.Perform other duties as signed by supervisor.Qualifications:One year of experience in child life or related field.Education, Licensure, and Certification:EducationalBachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development or closely related field required.
