*Schedule:* Monday–Friday*Sign-On Bonus:* $10,000 for new hires*Shift Details:*Start times staggered between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, ending by 5:30 PM.Call required once a week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and one weekend of call every four weeks from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM.*Position Summary*The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a key member of the healthcare team, assisting radiologists, vascular surgeons, and other providers with minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. This role is responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment, supporting patient care throughout procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.*Responsibilities**Pre-Procedure Preparation** Prepare the procedure room and equipment for use* Confirm patient identity, medical history, and procedure details* Position patients safely and comfortably* Educate patients about the procedure and address any concerns*Equipment Operation** Operate fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and other imaging systems* Optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure* Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed*Assistance During Procedures** Provide scrub assistance to physicians during procedures* Pass sterile instruments and supplies as needed* Monitor patient comfort and vital signs* Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control*Post-Procedure Care** Safely transfer patients to recovery areas* Monitor for and report any complications* Accurately document procedure details and patient responses*Collaboration and Communication** Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety* Participate in case discussions and team meetings* Assist with onboarding and training of new staff and students*Qualifications** Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology* Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Radiology Technician (RTT) required* Certification in Interventional Radiology (CIIP) preferred* New York State Radiologic Technologist License with intravascular contrast injection certification (can be obtained upon hire)* Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining clinical competenciesThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a direct impact on patient care using innovative imaging techniques.
