Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.This role calls for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide onsite support within an elementary school setting serving students with moderate to severe autism. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primarily non-verbal students who utilize AAC devices or tablets for communication.Location: Santa Clara, CA, within the San Jose areaSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00/8:30 AM to 4:00/4:30 PM (flexible hours preferred, ideally full-time)Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY)Key Responsibilities:Deliver direct speech-language services to 25-27 students with moderate to severe autismDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to communication needsCollaborate with educational staff and families to support communication goalsUtilize AAC devices and other assistive technologies to enhance student communicationMonitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with guidelinesQualifications and Experience:Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC or SLP CFY) or SLP School credentialsExperience working with students diagnosed with moderate to severe autismComfort and proficiency in supporting non-verbal students using AAC devices or tabletsStrong communication skills and ability to work within a school-based multidisciplinary teamThis position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication abilities of students with special needs in a supportive educational environment.
