Job Title:Electrical Quality Inspector (IPC)Type of Position:This position will begin as a 6-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 6 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 3 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.Candidate Requirements:This role is ONLY open to US Citizens. Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) and any other work authorizations are NOT permitted here as this role requires eligibility to obtain a secret clearance (a secret clearance is only open to US Citizens). To be clear, a clearance isnt required to start (but all candidates must be eligible to obtain one eventually). Due to the nature of this role (working for a defense contractor tied to the federal government) candidates may need to pass a drug screen (which would include cannabis). There would be no exceptions to this (eg: a medical card).Job Location:Fort Walton Beach, FL (on site role).Compensation:$32.00/hr to start. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.Benefits:Available (health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, etc) benefit eligibility begins the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.Please note, this role does not include paid time off (PTO). Unpaid PTO is permitted with manager approval. If converted to a full-time employee, a competitive PTO package will be offered.Overview:HRU Technical Resources is partnering with a leading defense contractor to hire a skilled Electrical Quality Inspector. This will be a hands-on role in which you'll inspect high-reliability electrical assemblies used in mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. We would love to have you be a part of our team!Key Responsibilities:Perform visual inspection of in-process and completed electronic/electrical assembled products, including Electronic Assemblies, Electrical Cables and Harnesses, Surface Mount and Thru-Hole Circuit Card Assemblies, using predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications.Utilize various measuring devices and testing equipment to assess components and assemblies.Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems as necessary.Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer and regulatory specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists.May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Skills, Education, Experience Required:High school diploma or GED required at a minimum. Higher level experience (Associate or Bachelors Degree) is welcome.Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field.Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience using microscopes, eye loupes, and other magnification devices.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and other technical documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.Skills, Education, Experience Preferred:IPC-610 and J-STD-001 Certification preferred.IPC-610 and IPC-620 Instructor Certification is a plus.Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.At least 5 years of experience in electronic assembly preferred.Associates degree in a technical field such as engineering, quality engineering, or a related discipline preferred.Work Environment:This is a 1st (day) shift role. Typical hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm (Monday to Friday).There may be occasional overtime in this role.
