Located in the vibrant city of Cincinnati, OH, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting.Job Responsibilities* Perform non-invasive vascular and/or echo testing and all duties of a Sonographer.* Follow established testing protocols, producing high-quality study images and data.* Obtain an appropriate history prior to each test with each patient.* Ensure supporting information and documentation for exams performed.* Utilize ultrasound technology knowledge to determine if order revisions are appropriate and notify the appropriate individual.* Adequately explain testing procedures to patients, family members, and hospital staff as necessary.* Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and co-workers.* Ensure efficient provision of services and collaborate with peers to achieve maximum productivity.* Effectively schedule add-on and emergency exams to maintain workflow.* Communicate with patient care areas to properly prep and send for patients in a timely manner.* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and ensure adequate stock of supplies.* Communicate equipment maintenance needs to the Lead and operate equipment safely and properly.* Follow Quality Control standards and participate in departmental process improvement activities.* Participate in Peer Review and other departmental Process Improvement expectations.* Stay up to date on new or revised testing protocols and maintain professional continuing education as required for licensure or certification.* Comply with annual hospital and departmental safety, education, and in-service requirements on a timely basis.* Attend department meetings and share responsibility for agenda.SkillsRequired Skills & Experience* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).* Ability to communicate effectively with hospital management, physicians, and technologists.* Current knowledge of technology and clinical advances in cardiac and/or vascular sonography.* Working knowledge of accreditation, credentialing, and quality assurance procedures.* Basic understanding of imager configuration, DICOM standards, networking, and medical records.EducationRequired Education* Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program.* Maintain continuing education requirements as set forth by ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL, and ICAE.Required Certifications & Licensure* ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).* BLS (American Heart Association).Contract Details* Work Hours: 40 hours per week* On-call Requirement: None* Float Requirement: None* Certification: ARMDS or CCIJob Type: ContractPay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* CardiologySchedule:* 5x8* Day shiftWork Location: In person
