#AlliedDescriptionThe role involves performing non-invasive ultrasound procedures in the fields of vascular and echocardiography. The position focuses on developing strong client relationships through exceptional patient care and acting as an educational resource. Located in the vibrant city of Cincinnati, OH, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting.Job Responsibilities* Perform non-invasive vascular and/or echo testing and all duties of a Sonographer.* Follow established testing protocols, producing high-quality study images and data.* Obtain an appropriate history prior to each test with each patient.* Ensure supporting information and documentation for exams performed.* Utilize ultrasound technology knowledge to determine if order revisions are appropriate and notify the appropriate individual.* Adequately explain testing procedures to patients, family members, and hospital staff as necessary.* Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and co-workers.* Ensure efficient provision of services and collaborate with peers to achieve maximum productivity.* Effectively schedule add-on and emergency exams to maintain workflow.* Communicate with patient care areas to properly prep and send for patients in a timely manner.* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and ensure adequate stock of supplies.* Communicate equipment maintenance needs to the Lead and operate equipment safely and properly.* Follow Quality Control standards and participate in departmental process improvement activities.* Participate in Peer Review and other departmental Process Improvement expectations.* Stay up to date on new or revised testing protocols and maintain professional continuing education as required for licensure or certification.* Comply with annual hospital and departmental safety, education, and in-service requirements on a timely basis.* Attend department meetings and share responsibility for agenda.SkillsRequired Skills & Experience* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).* Ability to communicate effectively with hospital management, physicians, and technologists.* Current knowledge of technology and clinical advances in cardiac and/or vascular sonography.* Working knowledge of accreditation, credentialing, and quality assurance procedures.* Basic understanding of imager configuration, DICOM standards, networking, and medical records.EducationRequired Education* Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program.* Maintain continuing education requirements as set forth by ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL, and ICAE.Required Certifications & Licensure* ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).* BLS (American Heart Association).Contract Details* Work Hours: 40 hours per week* On-call Requirement: None* Float Requirement: None* Certification: ARMDS or CCIJob Type: ContractPay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* CardiologySchedule:* 5x8* Day shiftWork Location: In person
