Exceed the expectations of our residential mortgage borrowers & business partners through superior service, simple processes, and effective communications.We deliver on this mission by empowering our employees by encouraging and recognizing superior performance and innovative solutions, by promoting teamwork and divisional cooperation.Primary Function-ONSITE POSITIONThe Closer is responsible for preparing loan packages according to state and/or federal regulations and ensure loans close in accordance with Underwriter’s approval and Newrez’s policies and procedures.Principal DutiesPrepares legal documents according to state and/or federal regulationsReviews and approves the final balanced Closing DisclosureEnsures loan package meets compliance guidelines and fixing discrepancies as necessaryGenerates and approves the Closing PackageServes as liaison between Newrez and closing agent.Inputs and confirms data required to generate Closing PackageCompletes work within established closing deadlines.This position is considered a non-loan originator position, this means participants may not engage in activities of a loan originator, including communicating directly with borrowers about credit qualification or loan terms, including pricing concessions or other transaction-specific terms or conditionsWorks with title companies on loan scheduling, document delivery, final sign-offMeets performance requirements for volume, quality, and timelinessPerforms related duties as assigned by supervisor.Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year college degree preferred.Minimum two (2) years mortgage Closing, or Post- Closing experience is required1-2 years loan funding experience preferredKnowledge, Skill, and Ability RequirementsBasic knowledge of loan documentation.Advanced computer sills including Excel and Outlook.Advanced mathematical skills.Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Familiar with reading and interpreting insurance policies, tax information, prelims, appraisals and settlement statements.Knowledge of MDIA and TRID disclosure requirements.Strong attention to detail and organization skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.INDHP2While this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
