Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.Part-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) (8th-12th Grade Caseload) for 25/26 School YearWe are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services to students in grades 8-12 at a single school site. This position offers a manageable caseload and the chance to make a significant impact on the communication development of adolescents.Location: Wilmington, DelawareDates: August 25, 2025 Early June 2026 (New School Year)Employment Type: Part-TimeWork Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per weekCaseload: Approximately 30 studentsKey Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in grades 8-12 to identify communication disorders and determine eligibility for services.Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) with specific, measurable goals tailored to the unique needs of high school students.Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students individually or in small groups, addressing areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression (including pragmatic language and social communication), and cognitive-communication skills.Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, special education teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff to integrate speech and language goals into the students' academic and social environments.Document student progress regularly, adjust treatment plans as needed, and prepare timely progress reports.Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and advocating for student communication needs.Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of adolescent speech-language pathology.Qualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.Experience working with adolescents in grades 8-12 preferred.Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders relevant to the high school population.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build rapport with adolescents and their families.Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently.Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering student independence and success.What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate.Supportive school environment.Manageable caseload allowing for focused student attention.Opportunity to work with a dedicated team of educators and support staff.The chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of high school students in Wilmington, DE.
