Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting | HybridWhat you do:Supports timely and accurate deliverables of the team/division. Assists in preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements while facilitating a strong and effective internal control environment. Takes the lead on key projects and act as mentor to others on the team. Excellent communication and organizational skills are key as this position interacts with several departments within the company. Additional focus will be on automating manual processes to be more efficient using Excel based tools and generative AI. You will report to the Financial Reporting Manager.Financial Reporting:Takes the lead on the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and supplemental disclosures on a Statutory basisEnsures technical compliance with accounting guidance and other regulationsProvides thorough analysis of financial statementsWorks independently to resolve more complex inquiries, requests or issuesInternal Control Environment:Solid understanding of the importance of internal controls to a top-tier financial team with meticulous adherence to the controls in place including process documentation and testingRecommends improvements to controls or need for future controlsGood understanding of interrelationship of controls with other areasProjects:Acts as the lead or has significant role on increasingly complex issues or projectsIdentifies problems and issues and develops creative solutionsManages multiple tasks related to the project, establishes clear roles and responsibilities and keeps to a deadlineCommunicates effectively within the project teamLeadership and communication:Serves as role model to othersDemonstrates resilience and composure under stressWorks to motivate peers on the teamStrong understanding of mission and vision of team, department and companyIs recognized as a "go-to" resource for teamBeginning ability to anticipate breakdowns and how to minimize impactDeveloping ability to make strong recommendationsOperates with a high level of motivation and sense of urgency; meets deadlinesTakes ownership for ensuring that work is performed with a high degree of accuracy and timelinessAssists with fostering an environment of collaboration in pursuit of common goalsTakes charge when an opportunity presents itself at the team, and at times, department level; able to identify problems, issues and potential solutionsWhat you bring:2+ years’ experience requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field requiredSolid understanding of Statutory accounting guidance as well as internal controlsExcellent organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and technical skillsProven ability to work independently under minimal supervisionYou must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.Base Salary Range $66,000-132,000Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location.
