Part-Time Bakery Clerk

Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining a clean and organized bakery department, and ensuring the availability of fresh bakery and hot deli products. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy providing excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner- Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries- Package and label bakery and hot deli products according to established guidelines- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery display cases, shelves, and work areas- Ensure the availability of fresh bakery products by monitoring stock levels and rotating products as needed- Follow proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking bakery supplies- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient bakery operations-Comfortable working with deep fryer, including cleaning of fryer or ability to become comfortable.- Set up bakery products for the next day.- Serve the hot deli counter.- Replenish the hot deli counter when low.- Ability to drop chicken for the hot deli.- Pull dated product.- Work with the manager to complete all the above tasks.- Work with the Manager to complete cleaning and sanitizing of department.Skills:- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively- Ability to upsell bakery products to maximize sales opportunities- Knowledge of basic math for inventory management- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred- Strong attention to detail for maintaining product quality and presentation- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude- Basic knowledge of bussing techniques to keep the bakery area clean and organizedJoin our team as a Bakery Clerk and enjoy the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
