You will be the first or second person customers interact with when they come in. You need to be friendly, comfortable with people, and care about customers having a great experience at Schmaltz. Do you have the necessary skills and experience?** Communication with Customers and your Schmaltz Teammates are a huge part of your day. You need to be friendly, comfortable making suggestions, and giving customers directions. 1-2 years of experience is great but not required if you have the right personality.* We’re not going to lie to you, it gets a little crazy in the store somedays when we are busy. Are you comfortable working in a sometimes-chaotic environment? Think lots of people in line, phones ringing, food tickets printing nonstop, talking to customers, and keeping track of customer orders. The ability to focus and keep track of multiple tasks is necessary.* We rely heavily on computers and technology to enter and keep track of customers' orders and take payments. You will use a tablet and register when you’re working with customers.* Health and safety are important to Schmaltz! You (and every other employee) will help keep this place clean, so Schmaltz meets and exceeds all food handling and safety guidelines.* At Schmaltz we believe all Team Members should help and support each other. You should be willing to help in other areas of the store as needed. Being a Team player is what it’s all about.*Compensation*We do things differently than others. We pay $15-18.00 per hour base rate depending on experience and on top of that, a substantial tip sharing program that earns everyone in the store an additional amount for every hour you work. Your tips are pooled with all the other tips collected in other service areas and are paid out equally to all hourly employees based on the number of hours worked each pay period.
