Restaurant Manager

We are a locally owned restaurant on the Vibrant University Hill called “The Corner” that serves fresh food made from scratch, great coffee drinks, and premium alcoholic beverages. We are not a corporate restaurant and we take pride in putting our efforts into making our customers and employees happy, not doing paperwork.Right now we are looking for our final Manager to complete our Management Team. You must have open availability and the skills and desire to have your hands in many pots. Most of the time you will be up front making customers happy, managing the floor, and creating a welcoming environment but you will also be overseeing the BOH. This is NOT an entry level management position like a shift manager or shift lead. This is a Salaried Assistant Manager position where we expect you already have the skills to oversee both the FOH and BOH.Your responsibilities will be both checking that the front of the house is clean and has excellent customer service as well as making sure the kitchen is following the proper portioning, food quality, cleaning and closing procedures. You will need to know all dayparts and your shifts could be 7am- 5pm, 10am - 8 pm, or 1pm-11pm. When you are here you will be 100% in charge of the entire restaurant (FOH and BOH) on your shifts. You will also be expected to have a strong leadership presence, maturity and positive attitude . Some back of the house experience is needed.*Job Duties include:*- *Supporting a Happy Team*- Supporting the staff, getting to know the entire staff and bringing out the best in people, Training, Managing front and back of the house employees and covering shifts.- *Creating Happy Customers*- Making sure every Customer wants to come back.- *Food Quality-* Making sure our food is consistent, portioned correctly, and of high Quality.*- Safety-* Making sure all employees and customers are safe.- *Being a Leader* *and Role Model *for the employees. Having a Can-Do attitude and doing whatever it takes for the business to be successful. Engaging in your work, making sure procedures and checklists are being followed, and discussing improvement ideas with the Management Team.- *Cross training in the Kitchen- *We expect that you will learn how to cook in the kitchen in addition to learning the cleaning and closing procedures to make sure we are ready for the next day.*Qualifications:**Restaurant Experience- *At least 2 years of Assistant Management experience and at least 4-5 years in the restaurant industry.*Open Availability- * In general you are able to work any day of the week and any time of day. You will be able to get time off with notice and communication with the other managers.*Positive attitude and a love of serving food -* Historically my best employees have a great attitude and work ethic, not necessarily experience. You are Honest, Reliable, Focused, and willing to do what ever it takes for the restaurant to be successful.*Benefits:*1. $65,000 depending on experience. ( 47 to 50 hrs per week)2.
