Production Assistant Manager for Glass Department

*Job Summary*Direct and manage plant operations in our glass department.*Responsibilities** Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.* Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost‑effective manner.* Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and profit goals.* Implement cost‑effective controls over capital expenditures, operating costs, manpower, wages, and salaries.* Manage capital asset maintenance programs and processes.* Establish and monitor overall plant performance to meet production and quality standards.* Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.* Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; oversee replacements and necessary adjustments.* Provide leadership, coaching, and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.* Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.* Promote 5S practices, shop floor organization, and facility cleanliness.* Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.* Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and TS‑16949 standards.* Support and comply with ISO‑14001 responsibilities and requirements.* Consult with engineering personnel regarding machine and equipment modifications to improve production and product quality.* Perform other duties as assigned.*Qualifications** Previous factory or warehouse experience is preferred.* Familiarity with assembly line operations and manufacturing processes.* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.* Ability to operate forklifts is a plus; certification may be required.* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
