CNC Lathe Setup/Operator

Turner Uni-Drive is a classic, small machine shop/ Manufacturing facility. We operate a mix of CNC and manual machines to produce gears and industrial gearboes. We've been here in the middle of Kansas City since the 1950's.It is hands on, it is rewarding and it is a place to hone your craft as a Machinist. While our immediate need is for a CNC Lathe person, there are opportunities to learn other aspects of the Machining trade.Two axis CNC Lathe experinece required, Fanuc/Haas control experience preferred.Abilty to load programs, load tools, set tool and work offsets.Must be able to understand basic blueprints and be familiar with micrometers.Operator will be responsible for setting tool offsets, setting work offsets and adjusting offsets to maintain part tolerance..Job Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement planPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* CNC setup : 1 year (Required)* CNC Lathe: 2 years (Required)* Machining: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
