Line Cook – Brewery Taproom Kitchen

Commonwealth Brewing Co, craft brewery with wood fired pizza in the heart of Chic's Beach is looking for hard working, motivated individuals to join our team!*Line Cook Job Responsibilities:** Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.* Lighting and setting up wood fired oven per Chef's standards.* Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.* Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods.* Shaping, topping and cooking neapolitan style pizzas as well as sandwiches, salads and more* Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.* Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.*Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:** Basic written and verbal communication skills* Organizational skills* Accuracy and speed in executing tasks* Ability to work as a team member* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment* Follows directions and instructions*Education and Experience Requirements:** High school diploma or GED* One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook* Experience with various cooking methods and procedures* Familiar with industry best practices* Experience working with pizza is a plus!Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discountShift:* 8 hour shiftWeekly day range:* Monday to Friday* Weekend availabilityEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:* Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)* Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One locationJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Paid trainingExperience:* Kitchen: 1 year (Required)Shift availability:* Night Shift (Required)* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Virginia Beach, VA 23455 (Required)Work Location: In person
