Grinder Operator

```Duties```- Operate and maintain grinding machines (jig grinders, surface grinder, OD grinder) to grind surfaces of workpieces according to specifications- Read and interpret blueprints or job orders to determine grinding specifications- Select and mount grinding wheels on machines according to specifications and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures- Inspect workpieces for defects, measure dimensions, and check surface finish using precision measuring instruments- Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, such as cleaning and lubricating```Experience```- Must have previous experience operating grinding machines or similar machinery- Math skills for measuring dimensions and calculating tolerances- Mechanical knowledge to understand machine operations and make adjustments as needed- Ability to perform quality inspections to ensure work meets specifications- Familiarity with tools used in grinding operations- Experience with precision measuring instruments for accurate measurementsNote: Experience with other machining equipment is a plus.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
