Repower Technician

*Position Title:* RePower Technician*Reports to: *RePower ForemanPOSITION PURPOSEUnder the supervision of the RePower Foreman, the RePower Technician performs a variety of routine semiskilled activities. The major responsibility is constructing or rebuilding items in the facility including small assemblies and the final product based on instructions and specifications outlined by the customer and the Engineering Departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled activities including but not limited to assembly, wiring, welding and construction of final Locomotives or parts thereof.• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies based off of Engineering drawings.• Work from layout drawings, point-to-point wire lists and wiring schematics.• Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocol.• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.• Build positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors.• Performs all activities in accordance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills and abilities)• Operational characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment.• Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.• Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools.• Perform heavy manual labor.• Ability to deal with change and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment.• Show attention to detail.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)• Have a High School Diploma or GED (further education preferred).• One year of relevant work experience.• Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Day shift* Monday to Friday* OvertimeWork Location: In person
