Gardener/Landscaper

A property management company is seeking a full-time Gardener for a large complex of properties totaling 256 units in Orange, CA. The Gardener will report to the Resident Manager and will be responsible for helping maintain the properties in an attractive, clean and comfortable condition. They will be assigned to mowing all lawns, edging, weeding, and trimming small trees on all buildings associated with the property. Their schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. As they will be assigned to multiple buildings and may need to drive a golfcart on occasion, they will be required to have a valid Driver's License.Responsibilities include:* Edging, weeding, and mowing all lawns* Maintaining shrubs, trees, and flowerbeds* Trimming small trees (10 feet and under)* Trimming shrubs and bushes* Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity and exercises confidentiality in all areas of performance* Follows company procedures regarding safety and emergencies.* Attends employee meetings and training seminars, as requested.* Adheres to Fair Housing Laws.* Performs any additional duties assigned by manager.Abilities/Skills:* Pushing and pulling ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.* Crawling/squatting/kneeling/standing for extended periods* Exposure to weather/working outdoors* Working with hands* Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures* Uses good safety habits at all times* Can work with minimal supervision* Able to work with persons of diverse backgrounds* Attention to detail* Communicates clearly and conciselyExperience:* Gardening/Landscaping experience of 1-2 years (Preferred)* Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)Salary and Benefits:* Pay: $24.00-28.00 per hour* Medical, Dental, Vision* 401K optionPrincipals only.
