*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled and passionate line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and be adept at supervising kitchen staff while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This person will work on the line, check in deliveries and be responsible for some food prep also.Competitive pay based on experience.Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.Must be available Mondays and Thursdays.Must have evening availability also.As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in menu planning, inventory management, and maintaining an efficient kitchen environment.*Duties** Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff shifts.* Supervise and train kitchen personnel in food preparation techniques and safety standards.* Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions.* Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations.* Participate in banquet preparations and special events as required.* Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as needed.*Requirements** Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or banquet setting.* Strong skills in shift management, team management, and food service management.* Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and supervising kitchen staff.* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.* Knowledge of inventory management practices to ensure efficient stock control.* Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.* Ability to work flexible hours.Join our team and contribute your culinary expertise to create memorable dining experiences for our guests!Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourShift:* Day shift* Evening shift* Morning shiftWork Location: In person
