Lead Pastry Cook

*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Lead to join our Michelin driven culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Michelin level pastry preparation, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail. You will be responsible for creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our fine dining standards of quality and presentation. Your advanced expertise in pastry techniques and handling will ensure that all products are prepared to the highest standard and in an efficient manner.*Duties** Supervise and prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and specifications of The H Orlando.* Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety guidelines.* Package finished products for service, maintaining quality and presentation standards.* Collaborate with chef team to plan menus and create new dessert offerings as needed.* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, following sanitation protocols and DOH expectations.* Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives.* Assist in operational needs such as inventory and ordering as it pertains to the pastry department.*Qualifications** Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a fine dining restaurant environment.* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.* Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives.* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.* A passion for baking and creating innovative pastries at the highest standards.* Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.Join our Michelin driven team and contribute your culinary talents to taking The H to the next level!Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Health insuranceWork Location: In person
