*SWAY ASPEN + HAI SI is hiring for a GENERAL MANAGER**Compensation:* 120-150K, discounted ski pass, full benefits, and 20% annual bonus potentialNew Waterloo, in partnership with Infinite Hospitality of Aspen, is seeking a General Manager to lead two restaurant concepts in Aspen: Sway and Hai Si. Sway Aspen, which opened in 2024, brings the beloved Austin-based modern Thai restaurant to the Rockies, offering bold flavors, approachable pricing, and a strong connection to the local community through thoughtful sourcing and hospitality. Hai Si, newly opened in 2025, is an underground izakaya by Yoshi Okai of Otoko. This intimate, high-energy space offers a bold and creative take on Japanese dining, blending traditional techniques with inventive execution in an unforgettable setting. This is a unique opportunity to oversee two distinct concepts and lead passionate teams in delivering exceptional guest experiences for both locals and visitors in Aspen.*JOB SUMMARY*We’re looking for a driven and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead daily operations, manage a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead with both professionalism and heart. You’ll be empowered to make key decisions across staffing, operations, sales, marketing, and service. Treat it like you own it.*Key Responsibilities**Leadership & Team Management** Lead and support all staff, creating a positive and productive work culture* Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team* Oversee scheduling, uniforms, performance evaluations, and goal setting* Foster strong communication and teamwork across all departments* Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain an open-door policy*Operations & Guest Experience** Ensure smooth daily operations across all departments* Uphold New Waterloo standards for service, cleanliness, and safety* Oversee guest experience from pre-arrival through departure* Manage events, property maintenance, and project completion* Maintain public spaces, inventory levels, and safety protocols*Finance & Administration** Collaborate with the Operations team on business strategy and planning* Manage budgets, forecasts, payroll, and financial reporting* Monitor expenses and optimize resources* Oversee vendor contracts and compliance with licensing and procedures* Keep accurate records and ensure the timely completion of projects*Communication** Act as the main liaison between the property and New Waterloo leadership* Respond promptly to guest feedback and communicate updates to staff* Represent the property professionally in all interactions* Stay informed on industry trends, local happenings, and best practices*Who you are:** You believe in hospitality, deeply and passionately.* You’re adaptable and not afraid to jump in and get your hands dirty.* You’re forward-thinking and proactive.* You are a leader.
