Company: The Grove ClubPosition: Director of RestaurantsFLSA Status, Position Type: Exempt, Full-Time Location: College Grove, TNJob Summary:The Director of Restaurants is a passionate restaurant leader on the Food & Beverage team. The Director of Restaurants' primary purpose is to oversee the daily front-of-the-house food and beverage operations to exceed Member expectations while driving initiatives to achieve the Club's revenue and profit objectives. This position will work closely with the Executive Chef and Club Manager to ensure the standards of service and safety guidelines are met in all dining outlets which include: Manor House, Bridge Bar, Trellis Café, Beverage Carts and comfort stations (2).Description: The Grove, located just outside Nashville and minutes from historic Franklin, is a 1,100-acre gated community offering a distinctive private club lifestyle dedicated to providing exceptional Member services and the most comprehensive amenity and recreational offerings in the region. We are currently seeking an accomplished, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join the team to lead our Front-of-the-House Food & Beverage Operations.The Club has just kicked off a three-phase $15M reinvention taking place over the next several years which will include: addition of new Kids Club, parking lot addition and upgrades, New Fitness Center and Spa, full renovation of the Manor House/Main Clubhouse. The Grove Club is part of the Escalante family of Clubs.Essential Functions:· Establishes and maintains professional relationships with Members and employee team.· Always displays the highest standards of service, greeting and welcoming Members in a polite, gracious, and enthusiastic manner.· Responds quickly and positively to Members’ questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively and consistently.· Develops an operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets; monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help ensure that budgeted sales and cost goals are attained.· Responsible for proper Member charge procedures, guest check analysis, tip reports, ticket controls and daily sales reports and analysis.· Assists in recruitment, training, supervision, and termination of food and beverage staff.· Ensures that effective onboarding and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.· Monitors staffing levels to verify that service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.· Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among employee team.· Consults daily with the Club Manager, Chefs, and other club administrators to help assure the highest level of member satisfaction at minimum cost.· Responsible for the proper payroll, accounting, and reconciliation of the point-of-sale and Member revenues.· Establishes and maintains professional business relations with vendors.· Monitors inventory levels, bar equipment, and other supplies as needed.· Complies with all food and beverage regulations; follows and enforces compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.· Performs other related duties as assigned.Skills and Experience/About You:· Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field (preferred) or three (3) years equivalent training/experience in a high-quality, high-volume hospitality establishment· Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute requests with outstanding verbal and written communication skills· Familiarity with food service concepts, practices, and procedures· Effective supervisory and communication skills· Exhibits high levels of organization and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills· Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff· Ability to work in a self-motivated environment with little supervision· Ability to manage the administration of multiple tasks simultaneously· Must obtain and maintain and an ABC Card· Must be able to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time· Knowledgeable of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beveragesThe Grove Club is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.If you would like to learn more about our Club or company, please visit our websites at or is a 30+ year old family-owned business that tees up and drives a bold vision – to be the most influential golf company in the world.Every day we work toward our vision with heart.
