These principles empower us to provide unparalleled service, enhance our capabilities, and uphold the highest standards of quality.*About the Role: ** As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for setting up, editing, and proving out part programs on various CNC machines. The role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, machine code interpretation, and the use of both traditional and advanced inspection tools. This position will work first shift with standard working hours of 5:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Thursday.*Core Responsibilities: ** Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T* Set up, prove out, edit and run part programs on CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines* Produce parts and assemblies to quality specifications and achieve Aztalan’s workmanship standards* Read, interpret and edit machine code* Calculate and adjust tool speeds and feeds to match machining conditions* Use cutting tools; know their application, various grades and designations* Use traditional inspection tools, CMMs, surface measuring equipment, and/or optical inspection equipment to verify part dimensions* Ensure accurate documentation, including completed quantities, scrap, in-progress documentation, JobBOSS (ERP) entries, etc.* Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area and comply with company procedures and safety regulations* Maintain equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures* Perform basic machine maintenance such as monitoring fluid levels and ensuring optimal machine performance* Inform maintenance and/or leadership of necessary machine maintenance* Manage chip barrels and tubs, ensuring proper disposal and identification of waste materials or machined chips according to company guidelines* Contribute to company goals and continuous improvement efforts* Comply with established ISO standards and Aztalan’s core values – Excellence, Support, Ownership and Progress* Maintain a positive and professional work environment* Adhere to regular and reliable attendance* Other duties as assigned*Qualifications:** High School Diploma or equivalent, required* Valid Driver's License, required* 5+ years of CNC machining experience, preferred* Must have the ability to operate, set up and prove out CNC machines and use inspection tools* Must have a strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T* Must have sufficient computer, math, and technical knowledge* Must have a solid understanding of cutting tool applications, grades, and designations* Must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision* Must have effective problem-solving and communication skills* Must have the ability to follow procedures* Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment*Benefits:** Two health plan options, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA)* Wellness program and tobacco-free campus* Employer paid disability and life insurance* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* PTO, Floating Holidays, Birthday Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays* Retirement plans* Continuous education, tuition reimbursement and apprenticeship programs*Aztalan is an equal opportunity employer.*Job Type: Full-timePay: From $23.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Professional development assistance* Referral program* Retirement plan* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* CNC machining: 5 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Lake Mills, WI 53551 (Required)Work Location: In person
