Gallery Assistant

*Responsibilities:** Provide exceptional customer service and assist with inquiries, product information, and sales transactions.* Handle phone calls, make appointments; respond to emails* Handle customer concerns, resolve issues* Operate point of sale system, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately* Assist with inventory management, packing art glass orders & creating shipping codes.* Prepare and set-up for customer events* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; including sweeping, dusting, break down and clean up after customer events, clean kitchen, empty trash* Give tours of facility, educate customers about glass art and activities at HGA* Stocking and merchandising gallery showroom, ensuring pieces are displayed safely* Updating and adding stock on online storefront* Packaging and shipping of online and wholesale orders* Create social media posts with brand guidance from Media Manager* Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues* Collaborate with team members & Managers to promote & sell art to achieve sales goals/* The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time*Experience / Qualifications:** High School Diploma Required* College Degree or attendance preferred* Studies, interest and/or experience in Art beneficial* Previous experience in retail sales preferred* Strong customer service and communications skills* Proficient in time management & retail math* Self-motivated, show initiative, team player* Must have a car & be able to lift 50 pounds* _Availability to work evenings and weekends _* Experience in marketing, graphic design, photography, or social media engagement is a major benefit* Dress requirements: Business casual; No tank tops, shorts, suggestive tees, or flip flops.
