Leasing Specialist-Bilingual in Creole or Spanish

*Job Overview*We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing operations, ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of landlord-tenant law, and experience with property management systems.*Duties** Assist prospective tenants with the leasing process, including conducting property tours and answering inquiries.* Prepare and manage lease agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.* Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and correspondence using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.* Conduct background checks and verify tenant qualifications in accordance with Fair Housing regulations.* Provide excellent customer service to current tenants, addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution as needed.* Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.* Utilize sales techniques to upsell available units and promote community amenities.* Manage data entry tasks related to leasing activities, including filing documents and maintaining organized records.* Stay informed about local market trends and competitor offerings to effectively market properties.*Qualifications** Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred but not required.* Knowledge of fair housing regulations is a plus.* Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations essential for compliance.* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.* Proficient in customer relationship management RentManager systems; experience with Ilove Leasing is advantageous.* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and filing tasks.* Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for effective tenant interactions.* Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment.
