Melt Swing Shift Supervisor

*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to direct and monitor Melt and other swing shift employees, while meeting business objectives by ensuring efficient and safe operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, highly motivated and capable of effectively supervising and leading employees while implementing initiatives to improve production efficiencies.*Duties*- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees throughout the organization.- Implement yearly inventory procedures and maintain inventory balances throughout the year.- Prepare reports of inventory balances, shortages, as required.- Schedule daily work assignments of direct reports in a timely and efficient manner ensuring completion of daily departmental priorities minimizing WIP and contributing to the Company’s sustainability efforts.- Ensure customer and internal material is melted, sampled, and fluxed correctly, in accordance with written procedures and in a timely fashion.- Ensure all chlorination samples have been run on the X-Ray analysis and determine assay target for bank gold and anode feed.- Responsible for verifying the proper function of all departments operating on the off shift.- Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the melt room extraction system, hoist system, chlorine system, and all other melt room equipment.- Maintain consistent verbal and electronic communication with on-site and off-site customer representatives, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange.- Enforce adherence to safety procedures and proactively address potential safety hazards to maintain a safe working environment.- Ensure compliance with quality standards and initiate corrective actions when deviations occur.- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency enhancements.*Qualifications*- Minimum 2-year experience in a leading role including 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.- Detail oriented with excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.- Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Standards.- Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of effectively communicating company objectives, training, and resolving employee issues.- Ability to lead the department and provide supervision, direction and coaching of employees.- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate both internally and externally with clarity and precision Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Salt Lake City, UT 84120 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Salt Lake City, UT 84120: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
