Machine Operator - New Wage Structure

At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an *Experienced Machine Operator*. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."*Experienced Machine Operator Responsibilities:** Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to batch raw materials to prepare for pressing* Operate presses to form mixed materials into refractory shapes, adjusting to achieve proper shape, dimension and density* Perform press die changes and load press programs* Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability* Document production manually and through computer entry* Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition* Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor*Experienced Machine Operator Minimum Requirements** 3-5 years' experience operating machinery and equipment* Mechanical and mathematical aptitude* Ability to use precision measuring equipment* High school diploma or equivalent required* Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment*Experienced Machine Operator Preferred Qualifications** Experience with robotics in manufacturing* Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operations and rigging* Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings*Benefits** Competitive pay and merit-based increases* Comprehensive health, dental, life and vision insurance* Career advancement opportunities in a growing company* Supportive, team-oriented work environment* Paid time off and retirement plan optionsThis is a Monday-Friday, day shift position with some overtime required.
